I just figured out something big. The words “Murder” and “Kill” bring my CPM from $0.40 down to $0.05.
I’ve been noticing on my most popular blogs that my CPM rate plunges. So I stated to look for trends and it seems every time I use “Murder” or “Kill” in my blog the CPM and ad revenue goes down.
To be clear, I am talking about killing and murdering bugs but it appears these two keywords are tanking my ad revenue.
I’m getting lots of traffic 1000 to 2000 visits per blog so I can’t figure out why my ad revenue is so low. By the way, the word “Death” did not affect my CPM at all.
So this is going out to my fellow blogger followers. Have you noticed anything like this on your blog?

That’s bad!! I don’t get any revenue from my blog and wouldn’t know how to and only get 50 or so views a post so … but it’s good to know!!

Very interesting! Makes one wonder whether there aren’t lists of “good” and “bad” words out there… but it would be quite corny to rig blog posts around “good” word only. It would totally cramp anyone’s style.
